Family members of a Baptist presbyter and pastor of the Odesa Peresypska Church (Evangelical Baptist Church) was killed in a massive attack on Odesa.
This was reported by volunteer and pastor Roman Medyanyk.
According to him, the situation remains difficult, as family members of the presbyter of the Baptist Church from Odesa are still being searched for under the rubble.
"Anna Gaidarzhi with her 4-month-old son Timofii, daughter of Mykola Sidak, pastor of the Odesa Peresypska Baptist Church, was trapped in the rubble of a multi-storey building. Anna's husband Serhiy and daughter miraculously survived - they were in the next room," Medyanyk added, commenting on the statement of the Evangelical Baptist Church.
Journalist and volunteer Yulia Zabelina reported that the daughter and grandson of Mykola Sidak, pastor of the Odesa Church of Evangelical Christians, were killed in Russia's strike. According to her, the photo with the victims of the RF's shelling is to be shown to the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Mike Johnson, who is also a longtime Baptist.
"And it was thanks to the leadership of Baptists in Ukraine and the United States that the recent meeting between the leadership of Ukraine and Johnson was made possible. Also, this photo should be broadcast on all conservative Republican channels in the United States, not only among Republicans, but among those who have influence on them. This is a very strong channel of influence. Because in America they are already studying a new term - Christian nationalism, as one of the reasons for the Trump phenomenon. So this tragic photo and the context must be conveyed in a short time. There are such people in Ukraine," the journalist continued in her post.
Zabelina notes that the Baptist diaspora in the West is interested in affected Ukrainians who are members of churches. The relevant lists of victims among the faithful are already being prepared. In her opinion, the allies should understand that Russians are killing absolutely all Ukrainians without exception.
