Fierce fighting is taking place in the Avdiivka sector, and the Ukrainian Defense Forces have managed to push Russians out of some positions.
This is stated in a report by the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
Situation in Kharkiv and Luhansk Regions
Russian troops have recently made some progress northeast of Kupyansk. Positional fighting continues on the Kupyansk-Svatove-Kreminna line. At the same time, the occupants were able to advance slightly on the northern outskirts of Synkivka (northeast of Kupyansk). Positional fighting continued southeast of Kupyansk in the areas of Tabaivka, Terny, Yampolivka and Bilohorivka.
Situation in Donbas
Ukrainian troops advanced near Bohdanivka (northwest of Bakhmut). Positional fighting continued in the areas of Ivanivske, Klishchiyivka and Andriivka, Pivdenne and New York.
Ukrainian troops successfully counterattacked near Berdychiv (northwest of Avdiivka) and pushed Russian troops out of unspecified positions.
Positional fighting continued in the areas of Stepove, Berdychiv, Tonenke and Orlivka, Pervomaiske and Nevelske.
Russian troops advanced in the southern part of Heorhiivka (west of Donetsk) and in the southwestern part of Novomykhailivka (southwest of Donetsk). Positional fighting continued west of Donetsk in the area of Peremoha and Krasnohorivka. Positional fighting took place in the area of Vodiane (east of Velyka Novosilka) in the western part of Donetsk Region.
Situation on the southern front
Positional fighting continued near Robotyne and Verbove (east of Robotyne).
Positional fighting continued on the left bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson Region near Krynky. Ukrainian troops are holding positions in the dacha area near Antonivsky roadway Bridge.
