There were two direct missile hits: how critical is the damage at Dnipro HPP

On Friday, March 22, Russians fired missiles at the Dnipro Hydroelectric Power Plant (DniproHES) dam - there were two direct hits - at HPP-1 and HPP-2. It is not known whether it will be possible to restore HPP-2, as it was seriously damaged.

General Director of PJSC Ukrhydroenergo, Ihor Syrota told Radio Svoboda about this.

"There were two direct hits on DniproHES in Zaporizhzhia - HPP-1 and HPP-2. It is not known whether it will be possible to restore HPP-2, it is seriously damaged. One pillar was hit, and crane beams were smashed," said Syrota.

Traffic on the road crossing of the Dnipro Hydroelectric Power Plant dam is completely restricted. Traffic is allowed through the Arch Bridge on Khortytsia Island (Serhiy Tyulenin St. - Sich St. - Taganska St.). Also, through Novi Mosty and Khortytsia District.

"Russia is preparing a series of IPSOs after massive shelling of Ukraine's energy infrastructure to sow panic among the population. DniproHES is still standing. More official information will be available later. But the Center is already recording various fakes about the destruction of the dam, which are being launched by the enemy, as well as statements that Ukraine will be completely left without electricity. All this information is not true," the Center for Countering Disinformation writes.

Earlier, "Apostrophe" reported that Russia launched a massive missile attack on Kyiv.
