Russia launched a massive missile attack on Kyiv: all the details

Last night, on March 21, Russia launched a massive missile attack on Kyiv. The first consequences of the night attack are known.

KCMA (Kyiv City Military Administration) informs about the consequences..

According to preliminary information, the following is known about the missile strike:

  • Shevchenkivskyi District - a multi-storey residential building was damaged and one apartment caught on fire. It is reported that a child was injured; at another address, there is information about three cars catching fire; in some houses, blast waves damaged windows
  • Svyatoshynskyi District - missile debris hit the building of a pre-school. It was also reported that a multi-storey residential building was damaged, and a car caught on fire.
  • Podilskyi District - debris fell on the territory of non-residential buildings and on the roof of a residential building, which caused a subsequent fire. There was also a fire on the roof of a non-residential two-story building.

The KCMA states that all emergency services are already working on the site, and the current information on the damage and victims is being updated.

Later, the Head of the KCMA Serhiy Popko added: "The enemy launched X-101/X-555/X-55 cruise missiles from Tu-95MS strategic bombers and ballistic missiles from the territory of the Russian Federation. The air raid alert in the capital lasted almost 3 hours. The information is being updated and clarified."

He points out that the Air Defense Forces have shot down about three dozen enemy missiles, including ballistic missiles, over Kyiv and the region.

"At this moment, we know for sure about two victims - an 11-year-old girl and a 38-year-old man. There were no casualties," said the Head of the KCMA.

Meanwhile, the mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko wrote in his Telegram that as of 06:23 a.m. the number of injured was 10 people:

"The number of victims has increased to ten. Two of them were hospitalized. Others were provided with medical aid on the spot. In particular, six people were injured in Shevchenkivskyi District of the capital. Four - in Sviatoshynskyi District."

He also mentioned the fire in an apartment in Shevchenkivskyi District, where residents are being evacuated.

Klitschko added that in Podil District, missile fragments caused a fire in a transformer substation and a two-story non-residential building.

While the enemy was carrying out another terrorist attack on the city, Kyiv residents showed online how they were in shelters, waiting for the air threat to be canceled.
