The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Facebook that the Russian occupiers used 16 Shahed UAVs at night. The Ukrainian Air Defense Forces managed to destroy 15 attack UAVs.
Kyiv and the region
The air alert in Kyiv was announced at 03:33 a.m. and lasted until 04:03 a.m. In the region, the alert lasted a little longer - from 01:17 a.m. to 04:03 a.m. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine wrote about the movement of Shaheds heading to Kyiv Region from Cherkasy Region.
"Shaheds from Obukhiv are heading for Kyiv," the AFU reported at 03:12 a.m.
The Head of the KCMA, Serhiy Popko, said on his Telegram channel that, according to preliminary data, enemy drones were launched from the territory of Kursk Region, flew through Sumy and Cherkasy regions and entered Kyiv from the southwest.
"Air Defense Forces and means destroyed all enemy targets (the type and number will be published in their reports by the Air Force)," Popko added.
As of the morning, no damage or casualties were reported in the capital.
Odesa
In Odesa, air raid alert lasted from 01:33 a.m. to 03:07 a.m. At 01:31 a.m., the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned about a new group of Shaheds from the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson Region: "Heading towards Odesa".
At 04:25 a.m., the Southern Defense Forces wrote that as a result of an enemy attack in the residential sector of Odesa, the houses of local residents were damaged and a fire broke out.
"Emergency services are working to eliminate the consequences. Preliminarily, we know about 7 victims," the Southern Defense Forces noted as of 04:24 a.m. However, at 04:33 a.m. they updated the data: "According to the updated data, 34 people were rescued, including 3 children. 7 people were injured, including 2 children."
Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov also showed footage of the aftermath of the nighttime attack on Odesa.
