The Russian army continues to attack near Avdiivka and advances on the Kupyansk, Lyman, Novopavlivka, Orikhiv and Kherson directions.
This was reported by the Press Service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"134 combat engagements took place over the last day. In total, the enemy launched 3 missile and 70 air strikes, fired 116 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of our troops and settlements," the statement said.
The operational situation in the Volyn and Polissya directions remains without significant changes.
In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of our troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border.
In the Kupyansk direction, our soldiers repelled 12 attacks near the settlements of Novoyehorivka, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Kyslivka, Berestove in Kharkiv Region; Stelmakhivka in Luhansk Region.
In the Liman direction, the enemy made 15 attacks on the positions of our defenders in the areas of Hrekivka, Nevske and Serebryansky forest in Luhansk Region and the settlements of Terny, Yampolivka, Torske in Donetsk Region.
In the Bakhmut direction, our soldiers repelled 22 attacks in the areas of Bilohorivka in Luhansk Region; Verkhnekamianske, Rozdolivka, Vyimka, Spirne, Novyi, Klishchiyivka and Ivanivske in Donetsk Region.
In the Avdiivka direction, our troops repelled 50 attacks in the areas of Arkhangelske, Sokil, Semenivka, Novooleksandrivka, Novopokrovske, Umanske, Kalynove, Yasnobrodivka, Netaylove and Pervomayske in Donetsk Region.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the Defense Forces continue to deter the enemy in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Krasnohorivka and Urozhayne in the Donetsk Region, where the Russians tried to break through the defense of our forces 16 times.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy attacked the positions of our defenders twice near Staromayorske, Donetsk Region, and Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia Region.
In the Kherson direction, the enemy does not abandon its intention to dislodge our units from the footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River - over the past day, the enemy made 8 unsuccessful attacks on the positions of our troops.
"Over the past day, the aviation of the Defense Forces struck 11 areas of concentration of personnel and 1 enemy anti-aircraft missile system. The missile troops destroyed 2 ammunition depots, 1 air defense system, 2 artillery systems and 1 enemy anti-aircraft missile system," the Press Service added.
