Russians drew water from the river: details of the unique landing of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the left bank of the Dnipro River

As a result of Russia's explosion of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station dam, a large number of Russian mines were swept away by water or sand, allowing the Ukrainian Defence Forces to capture a bridgehead on the left bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson Region.

This is reported by LB.ua.

"It was a joint operation of various units of the Defence and Security Forces with the participation of a large number of Special Forces. And although it was not a first-time success, I can honestly say that the overall operation was really quite cool. We entered the enemy's territory in the interposition space, and immediately had several rather intense firefights with enemy observation posts. Some of them were almost completely destroyed or captured," said the Commander of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine's Special Forces unit “Shaman”.

"Over the first day of the operation, the enemy lost seventy-three servicemen in combat as its airborne military unit, which went to Zaporizhzhia, left mobilised servicemen behind. And at the intersection of their battalions' positions, where we started working, they were completely disoriented. Their radios were running out of power, they had run out of water and were drawing it from the Konka River. So when the fighting started, they could not understand where our troops were coming from,'" said the Commander of the Joint Tactical Group of the 8th Regiment of the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces “Beaver”.

Earlier, Apostrophe reported that Russians tried to break through the defence lines of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Kharkiv Region.
