Russians occupied three more settlements in Kharkiv Region: what is the situation in the hottest spot of the frontline

The situation in the Kharkiv Region remains difficult and fast-changing - the enemy continues to put pressure on the Defence Forces and captured three more settlements in the region. It is also trying to gain a foothold near Vovchansk to encircle the city. Fighting is taking place in several areas.

Apostrophe has collected the latest information about the situation in Kharkiv Region.

The situation at the frontline: DeepState

The area of the village of Liptsy

DeepState notes that the enemy has actually occupied Morokhovets-Oliynykove-Zelene and continues to move towards the village of Lyptsi. Fighting continues for Lukiantsi, which the enemy has also almost completely occupied.

In addition, the Russians are trying to gain a foothold in Hlyboke - attempts are being made to advance with infantry, but the enemy is under constant fire, including the use of FPV drones by the Defence Forces. This makes it difficult for the enemy to advance, but, according to DeepState, does not stop the movement.

The area of Vovchansk

The enemy continues to move towards Vovchansk, trying to gain a foothold on the outskirts of the city for further actions. The Ukrainian military are making every effort to hold back the attack. The city is under heavy fire, and civilians are being evacuated. It is also noted that the report of the enemy's occupation of Hatyshche is currently being clarified.

The enemy is trying to gain a foothold on the captured lines in order to continue its advance. The fire of the Defence Forces complicates the Russians' movement and forces them to regroup. The enemy is intensifying shelling of populated areas, thus using the opportunity to bring in additional reserves.

Attempts to encircle Vovchansk: ISW assessment

Analysts of the Institute for the Study of War estimate that Russians will try to surround Vovchansk from two directions, approaching the city itself through Buhruvatka, Starytsya, and Izbytske in the west and through Vovchansky Khutory in the east.

In addition, the enemy is focusing on water crossings - trying to isolate the Ukrainian defence of Vovchansk from other areas.
