The Ukrainian Armed Forces withdrew from the area of Lukianets and Vovchansk in the Kharkiv Region to save lives and avoid losses.
This was reported by the Spokesperson of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Dmytro Lykhoviy.
"In certain areas near Lukianets and Vovchansk, as a result of enemy fire and assault actions, our units manoeuvred and moved to more favourable positions to save the lives of our servicemen and avoid losses. The fighting continues," he said.
According to Lykhoviy, the Russians are concentrating their efforts in Kharkiv region, as well as in the Kramatorsk and Pokrovske directions in Donetsk region. In the Kharkiv sector, Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 18 enemy attacks. The enemy is under constant fire control of artillery and UAV units of the defence forces.
Earlier, Apostrophe reported that the Armed Forces are already using Western weapons, but there is no parity with the enemy yet.
