For the first time during the war with Russia, the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have destroyed the latest Russian R-416GM station, which provided communication between the command post and the enemy army.

This was reported by the command of the Special Operations Forces (SSO) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.

The message to the video states that the enemy's digital radio relay station R-416GM was hit:

"Operators of the 3rd SSO Regiment identified a Russian digital radio relay station R-416GM while working in one of the operational direction."

They struck the enemy target with one of the latest weapons that has been put into service by the Special Forces. "As a result of accurate work, the R-416GM station was destroyed," the post says, mentioning that the strike resulted in a disruption of communication between the command post and enemy army units.

"It should be noted that this R-416GM station is the first to be hit by the Ukrainian military during the war," the Special Operations Forces command said.

It is worth noting that Russia put this mobile complex into service in 2018. According to the command of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, this station was created to improve the efficiency of radio relay units in the field - it allows to expand the horizon of visibility of objects for more effective command and control activities.
