Ukraine has struck the territory of the Russian Federation with the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system, destroying four C300 systems that were launching missile strikes on Kharkiv.
This was stated by the founder of the KRAKEN special forces unit, Kostiantyn Nemichev.
"HIMARS destroyed four S-300 systems that were launching missile strikes on Kharkiv, so now they do not risk approaching and reducing the distance for shelling of the city," Nemichev said.
This is the first official confirmation of HIMARS strikes on Russian territory.
Earlier, the Associated Press wrote about the HIMARS strike, citing an official from a Western country. At the time, it was reported that, according to unconfirmed information, on June 2, the Ukrainian Armed Forces hit a Russian S-300/S-400 anti-aircraft system, from which the Russians had been shelling Kharkiv, with the HIMARS system.
