Kazakh opposition journalist who was shot in Kyiv, dies

Kazakh opposition leader Aidos Sadykov, who was shot in the head in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv, has died.

This was reported by the wife of Aidos Sadykov, Natalia Sadykova.

"Aidos Sadykov left us today at 3 p.m. Kyiv time. My beloved husband, father of our three children, a great son of the Kazakh people. Aidos gave his life for Kazakhstan, he was martyred by killers. Aidos fought for his life in intensive care for thirteen days, but no miracle happened. His death is on Tokayev's conscience," she wrote.

As Apostrophe reported earlier, Aidos Sadykov was shot on June 18.

One of the suspects of the attack surrendered to the police in Kazakhstan.
