In the 1970s, several futuristic gas stations in the form of UFO ships were built in Kyiv.

Photos of the gas stations were published in social networks.

"1980s. Futuristic, experimental, Japanese-style gas station," says one of the messages.

Local residents called such a gas station "Japanese", since many gas stations in Japan are actually built according to such a project.

There were several gas stations of this kind in Kyiv. One on Kharkiv highway, another on Brovarsky Avenue.
