Photos of tests of the first flying machines by designer Igor Sikorsky in 1910-1914 years of the XX century were published in the network.

It is reported that in 1910, Kurenivka airfield was built on the meadows, located between Kurenivka and Obolon massif. The project was sponsored by sugar producer Fedir Tereshchenko.
The first airplane to land at the new airfield set a record for biplanes with two passengers. The designer Igor Sikorsky was at the helm. In October 1911, Anders' airship landed at this airfield following the route: Kupetsky Sad-Kurenivka-Vyshhorod.
