The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has revealed data on what military assistance the DPRK provides to Russia as of April 2025.

  • short-range ballistic missiles KN-23/24 — about 150 units;
  • large-caliber artillery ammunition (estimated, 152/122-mm artillery rounds, 122-mm rocket launchers, etc.) — about 6 million units;
  • 170-mm self-propelled artillery mounts (SAM) — about 120 units;
  • 240-mm multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) M-1991 — 120 units;
  • 122-mm D-74 howitzers — about 90 units;

In addition, North Korean servicemen from the special operations forces of the Korean People's Army are participating in combat operations in the Kursk region of Russia.

Also, according to the MID of the Ministry of Defense, in order to cover the shortage of low-skilled labor, the Russian Federation is carrying out measures to recruit North Korean workers for employment in the construction and garment industries, as well as in the defense-industrial complex sector.
