In Russia, the production of Buk and Tunguska was stopped

In Russia, due to international sanctions and a shortage of components, the production of anti-aircraft missile systems was stopped. Employees of the strategic enterprises are offered to join the army.

This is reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

According to the department, theproduction facilities of Ulyanovsk Mechanical Plant have actually been stopped. According to tha data, the radar stations andshort-range and medium-rangeair defense systems “Buk”and “Kub” and anti-aircraft gun and missile system “Tunguska” were massively produced at this enterprise.

The critical condition in production is due to the fact that Russian specialists used electronic components of foreign origin in the production of weapons.

"Until recently, Germany was the main supplier of the Russian military-industrial complex. But with the beginning of the invasion of the territory of Ukraine, any cooperation was stopped,"the Ministry of Defense of Ukraineadds.

Employees of the strategic enterprise say that management is looking foropportunities to avoid sanctions and establish deliveries through third countries. However, there is no additional funding in the Russian Federation for that.

"Employee is given a choice: to go on unpaid leave or to sign a contract with the armed forces to participate in the war in Ukraine. The recommended position is the operator-guider of the Buk. The proposed salary is 50,000 rubles per month,"the agency stated.
