The US and UK embassies in Russia have warned their citizens about possible terrorist attacks in Moscow over the next 48 hours.
This is stated on the websites of the US Embassy in Russia and the Foreign Ministry of Great Britain.
"The Embassy is monitoring reports that extremists have imminent plans to target large gatherings in Moscow, to include concerts, and U.S. citizens should be advised to avoid large gatherings over the next 48 hours," the U.S. diplomatic mission said in a statement on its website.
Diplomats also urge to follow the updates in local media and be attentive to what is happening around them. At the same time, the U.S. State Department has raised the level of danger of traveling to Russia to the maximum, the fourth level.
The British Embassy in Moscow has also issued a warning. Citizens are advised to refrain from traveling to Russia entirely or consider leaving the country.
"The situation in Russia is unpredictable," the statement reads.
The Embassy added that "travel insurance may be canceled" if British nationals travel to Russia against the recommendations.
Propagandist Margarita Simonyan became hysterical and accused Western diplomats of aiding terrorists.
"The US and British embassies have warned of the threat of terrorist attacks on March 8 in Moscow. It's a coordinated effort. They ask to avoid mass events for 48 hours. 'Not a dear 'partners'! If you have specific information, it should be passed on through the special services. I hope you have done so. And if not - this is complicity," Simonyan wrote.
