Relatives of a Russian political party official and an MMA fighter are among the attackers on police officers during a counterterrorism operation in Dagestan.

The report notes that more than 15 people, most of them police officers, were killed in a terrorist attack in Dagestan when armed men attacked a synagogue, churches, and police. There are also reports of the murder of Archpriest Nikolai (Kotelnikov).
According to a Russian channel, at least three of the attackers were relatives of the Head of the Sergokalinsky district, Magomed Omarov, who is a member of the pro-government Russian party. Two of them are his sons, Osman and Adil Omarov. Another attacker is believed to be a fighter of Khabib Nurmagomedov's Eagles MMA club.
Apostrophe also reported that in Derbent and Makhachkala, Dagestan, the Russian Guard began storming buildings barricaded by militants.
