Putin decided to "cleanse" Russia of Ukrainian citizens

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has signed a decree according to which Ukrainian citizens who are in the territory of the Russian Federation without legal grounds must either leave by September 10 or regularize their status.

The document was published on the Kremlin head's website.

"Regularization of status" means obtaining Russian citizenship, a residence permit or other right of residence (for employment, study, etc.).

Foreign citizens who are in the Ukrainian territories occupied by the Russian Federation are required to confirm the absence of HIV and drug use by June 10.

Recall that in 2023, Putin approved the procedure for residence in the Russian Federation of residents of the occupied territories of Ukraine.
