Powerful explosions were heard twice in the morning in Makhachkala, Russia

On Tuesday morning, March 25, a powerful explosion rocked the capital of Dagestan, Makhachkala: an apartment in a high-rise building exploded. A second explosion occurred half an hour later: a gas cylinder allegedly exploded in one of the restaurants.

It is reported that a fire broke out in the apartment where the explosion occurred, allegedly due to a gas cylinder explosion. 30 apartments were damaged. About 50 cars parked in the yard were pelted with stones. Windows were also broken in neighboring houses. There were practically no walls left on the sixth floor of the building. Two injured people are known.

The city hall said that gas should not have been supplied to the house. According to locals, people who moved in early used gas cylinders. 150 people were evacuated from their apartments.

The second explosion occurred in a bistro in Makhachkala. Four people were injured.

The distance between the houses where the explosions occurred is 4.3 km. The difference between the explosions is 30 minutes.
