In Kursk, Russia, a massive fire broke out at one of the enterprises on April 16. The area covered by the fire is growing.
This was reported by Russian publics, citing the local Ministry of Emergencies, on Telegram.
It is noted that the area of the fire at the enterprise in the Railway District of the city has increased to 10 thousand square meters.
"Kursk Region Ministry of Emergency Situations: A 1,000-square-meter rubber processing plant is on fire on Aggregate Street," the report says.
Fire and rescue units of the Russian Emergencies Ministry have arrived at the scene, the liquidation is ongoing, 40 employees and 13 pieces of equipment have been involved. However, progress is barely noticeable.
Extinguishing is complicated by the high fire load and the structural features of the building.
There are no injuries reported. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
As reported by Ukrainian military journalist Andriy Tsaplienko, the fire started in the workshop of a bearing production enterprise.
"In Kursk, there is light smoke at the enterprise. Nothing special. There is no panic... The area of the fire in Kursk is over 10,000 sq m. The fire started in the workshop of the enterprise for the production of bearings," he wrote.
