Ukraine’s Foreign Policy of 2020: Victories and Downfalls / The COVID-19 pandemic changed the traditional agenda of international politics and the usual way in which states pursue their foreign policy interests. Throughout the year, attention was mostly focused on the waves of new infections and their social-economic consequences. For Ukraine, specifically, 2020 wasn’t a year of successful breakthroughs, but rather one of the crises. It must be said, however, that in some spheres one can notice a limited amount of success.

The Rearrengement of Political Forces after the 2020 Local Elections in Ukraine / Local elections in Ukraine took place in rather difficult conditions: the coronavirus epidemic, a new electoral system, decentralization and a growing conflict between the center and the regions. This year’s campaign proved one of the most controversial ones since the country's independence.
