What is the difference between the war victims in Ukraine and Gaza, according to Biden administration

Biden Administration explained the difference between the victims of the war in Ukraine waged by Russia and Israel's military operation against Palestinian Islamist group "Hamas" in Gaza.

This was stated by White House National Security Council Coordinator, John Kirby at a briefing, writes EP.

According to him, the IDF doesn't organize torture and rape civilians in Gaza because it has no intend to kill civilian population. Whereas all of the above are among the goals of Russian President Vladimir Putin's war plan in Ukraine.

"What Putin is doing is not an appropriate comparison (with Israel's actions). Torture, rape, killing civilians, destroying civilian infrastructure, terrorizing an entire population - all of this is part of Putin's war plan," he stressed.

Such Russian actions are explained by his inability to defeat Ukraine "purely from a traditional military point of view," since the Ukrainians are "better armed, have better command and control of troops, and are better resourced." Therefore, the Russian military is bombing energy infrastructure, trying to kill ordinary citizens, and wants to break the will of the Ukrainian population.

Hamas terrorists chose a similar approach when they violated the ceasefire by starting to deliberately kill innocent Israelis.

The White House representative noted that the U.S. urges Israel to be as careful as possible and conduct a military operation, minimizing civilian casualties.

We will remind, U.S. Congress announced positive expectations for negotiations on migration reform, required for providing aid to Ukraine and Israel.
