From arrangements to "F*ck Russia!": what Ukraine can expect from Trump's possible presidency

The activity of Donald Trump as President in the past didn't indicate close relations with Vladimir Putin: during his cadence, Ukraine received lethal weapons and it was the former US President who achieved the shutdown of Nord Stream-2.

This opinion was expressed by political technologist Mikhail Sheitelman on the air of Apostrophe TV.

"We can only rely on facts. Trump's presidency from 2016-2020. We never saw any political or personal contact between them in those four years, but we saw what Trump did. First of all, he was the first in the world to supply us with lethal weapons - Javelins. Second, it was Trump who ensured that Nord Stream 2 is not working now," he said." he said.

At the same time, the political technologist notes that it is unknown how Trump will act now, if he wins the presidential election, but considering his age and political style - at this age people do not change at all, so in the second cadence he will act the same way as he did in the first.

"Perhaps... that when he becomes president, he'll order to arm our country with everything possible and start "destroying" Russia. It all depends on what Trump's first conversation with Putin will be. Trump will name his conditions. If Putin responds by saying the same thing he said to Macron: "I'm going to play hockey and call you back later." If he says that to Trump, then Trump will have the most negative reaction, up to the point where Trump may say 'F*ck Russia!'," Sheitelman concluded.

Earlier, Donald Trump said that he is able to negotiate with Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the war in Ukraine, because they have "good relations".
