Personal spiritual advisor to United States leader Donald Trump, Mark Burns, said that Trump actually doesn't like Vladimir Putin.
Burns stated this on the air of the Russian opposition TV channel "Dozhd".
"When the president needs something on some personal issues or something else, I'm one of the few people he turns to. And I share with him the wisdom that Jesus Christ gives me. And it seems to me that Trump has been touched by the right hand of God, and he knows that God is moving him," the pastor revealed the details of his interaction with Trump.
He also assured that Trump does not support Putin.
"President Trump, of course, does not support Putin. He does not like him, I assure you. President Trump's task is to bring peace. And Russia is the aggressor," Burns said.
The pastor emphasized that he would support Trump's decision if he imposed sanctions against Russia to destroy its economy.
"I only know one thing - Russia attacked Ukraine, Russia is striking civilian targets in Ukraine, innocent people are dying. Therefore, if Russia does not stop, then I fully support President Trump's decision to impose sanctions against Russia, to undermine the Russian economy so that Russia does not have the opportunity to bomb Ukraine anymore," Burns said.
As Apostrophe reported, Trump's pastor declared himself a friend the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak.
