Afraid to make a public announcement: Zelensky’s decision on important law

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has already made his decision regarding the law on investigative commissions, which would allow beginning the impeachment process. Zelensky is allegedly hiding this, being afraid of Verkhovna Rada easily overcoming e his veto, as reported by political scientist Taras Berezovets on his Telegram channel.

“According to my information, Zelensky has already vetoed the bill on investigative commissions, acting on Bohdan’s advice. He does not want to announce it publicly. His office is afraid that with the pre-election heat and Zelensky’s responsibility for the PACE’s failure, the MPs will easily overcome the veto. In any case, the situation will become harder for Zelensky, as he won’t be able to walk around this situation,” he wrote.

He also reminded that June 27 was the last day Zelensky could sign the bill “On temporary investigative commissions and temporary special commissions of the Verkhovna Rada.”

“The point is that this law would provide for the impeachment procedure. Adopting this law was one of Zelensky’s key pre-election promises,” Berezovets noted.

As “Apostrophe” reported earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reacted to the shelling of an ambulance car of Ukraine’s Armed Forces in the Donbas, which killed the senior sailor Serhiy Mayboroda and sergeant Iryna Shevchenko, causing a wave of anger online.
