Russia has successfully tested the Zirkon hypersonic missile

On November 26, the Russian military announced successful testing of the Zircon hypersonic missile in the White Sea. Missiles were launched aboard the frigate "Admiral Gorshkov".

According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the target spot of the test shooting was set up in the Barents Sea. According to the Russian military, the hypersonic cruise missile "Zircon" was intentionally launched from a difficult position.

In total, during the test, the missile covered 450 kilometres and successfully hit the target in the Barents Sea. The Zirkon missile was launched by the Russian Ministry of Defense as part of the program testing of the new weapons. Russian Ministry of Defence also published the video of the missile launch from the 22350 project frigate "Admiral of the Navy of the Soviet Union Gorshkov" from the White Sea.

Previously, the USA also conducted B61-12 aviation nuclear bomb testings at the ‘Tonopa’, secret military training ground in Nevada.
