On Friday, December 4, three armed men tried to enter the Russian Federation breaking in through the Ukrainian border. One of the border trespassers was killed in a shootout with the Russian border guards, as was reported by the Kommersant with reference to the FSB's press service.
According to the Russian security service, the incident took place at the particular border point that was under the control of FSB responsible for Belgorod and Voronezh regions. However, the exact location of the border violation was not specified.
According to the FSB report, in the attempt to detain the violators, they faced an armed resistance, as a result of the shootings, one of the attackers was killed and the other two disappeared and fled on the territory of Ukraine.
