Ukrainian transport aircraft АН-124 "Ruslan" delivered a large satellite for Elon Musk’s SpaceX company from the French city of Toulouse to the US, as was reported by the Antonov’s Aircraft company on its official Twitter page.
Ukrainian plane has successfully landed at Titusville Airport (Florida), which used to be utilized exclusively for launching space shuttles into the Earth orbit until 2011. The satellite was packed in a special container of the French aircraft company Airbus. The total weight of the cargo constituted around 55 tons.
"We have successfully delivered the largest satellite we had to transport safely and on time!" the Ukrainian airline Antonov’s Aircraft stated on Twitter.
