Zelensky assesses the damage the Donbass occupation cost

The Russian aggression and the actions of pro-Russian militants in the Donbas have cost damage worth about 120 billion dollars, as was stated by the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Alexey Reznikov in an interview with LB.ua.

According to him, only property damage was estimated.

"According to the Vienna Institute for International Economic Research, about $22 billion will be required to restore the region. All these are just the approximate figures, but it is a matter of fact that they are colossal," he said.

Reznikov admitted that now no one in Ukraine can answer the question of how much of the state and the municipal property is still remaining on the occupied territories and what damage has been caused by its alienation.

"And I am not even talking about the private sector... If we had decided to answer this question in our bill, this document would never have appeared," he concluded.
