Military training camps, aimed at preparing the territorial defense units, were announced along the southern border of Ukraine. The corresponding statement was published by the press service of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on their official Facebook page.

"Military training camps will be held in certain regions of the southern part of Ukraine in order to form and prepare territorial defense units for the performance of tasks of purpose, the tasks regarding the control over the settlements, strengthening and protection of the state border, the protection and defense of certain facilities, combating the Diversion and Intellignece Units (DRG)along the Ukrainian border," the message reads.

It is noted that the main objectives of the military camps are to improve the level of knowledge and practical skills ofthe military units’ command and headquarters in management, to improve the individual skills of military personnel and to perform certain tasks regarding the following facilities:

- Protection and defence of the administrative border with Crimea, covering up the accessible sections of the coast;

- Performingtasksregarding the control over civil settlements

- Protection of public authorities

- Strengthening the protection of strategic objects and bridges

- Roadblocks service

- Settlements control service with the performance of curfew tasks;

- Combating Diversion and intelligence forces, other armed forces of the aggressor and anti-state illegally formed armed groups.
