"This is a world prospect": Ukraine estimated the probability of introducing COVID passports

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the introduction of COVID passports is being considered by many countries, including Ukraine.

This was stated by Sergii Deineko, head of the State Border Service, in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

"If someone thinks it's a human rights violation, they just don't have to get vaccinated," Deineko said when asked whether he considers the introduction of vaccination passports a violation of human rights.

He noted that the issue is not that a person will not be able to leave Ukraine. The main problem is that the traveler will not be able to get to his destination, as he simply will not be allowed to enter another country.

The head of the State Border Service also said that the steps to introduce COVID passports are already being developed by many countries, including Ukraine. According to Sergii Deineko Ukrainian State Border Service is ready for the possible introduction of such innovations.

In addition, Deineko called on Ukrainians to perceive the introduction of the document as a step to the creation of collective immunity against COVID-19.
