The majority of Ukrainians do not agree with Putin's "one nation" statement: the results of the survey

The majority of Ukrainians do not support Putin's statement on the historical unity of Russians and Ukrainians, which he published in his recent article about Ukraine.

Akin conclusions can be drawn from the results of the survey on socio-political sentiments conducted by the Rating Sociological Group.

The survey was conducted from July 23 to July 25, 2021.

With this, 55 percent of all citizens who took part in the survey did not agree with the sentiment expressed by the Russian leader.

Putin's statement reads as follows, "Russians and Ukrainians are one nation, and they belong in the same historical and spiritual space".

At the same time, 41% of participants - mainly from Ukraine's eastern regions - agreed with the statement. In the east, over 60% of local residents agree with Putin's words.

As for the residents of western Ukraine, the situation is diametrically opposite (over 70% of local residents do not agree with the Russian president).

At the same time, it is worth noting that among the Oppositional Platform “For Life” electoral base, Murayev's party, as well as Sharii’s party, over 80% of respondents support Putin's statement.
