Russia continues to increase the number of its military personnel on the border with Ukraine. Currently, more troops are being allocated along the Ukrainian-Russian border as a part of the winter military trainings.
According to Interfax, more than 10,000 Russian military personnel are participating in the exercises.
"More than 10,000 servicemen of the Southern Military in units marched to the combined arms ranges. Combat smoothing of divisions, calculations and crews was organized as part of the first training module at more than 30 military training grounds," the statement reads.
Autonomous field camps APL-500 were placed at the training grounds to accommodate the military.
It is noted that the exercises are to be held in the South of Russia.
Earlier, Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba noted that Russiahad placed about 115,000 military personnel near the border with Ukraine.
