At the border with Ukraine, where a blockade of trucks is lasting for almost a month, Polish carriers are blocking a SAFE Boats International patrol boat, that US provided for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Tomasz Buczek, one of the leaders of the blockade, asked in rhetorical tone, "Why do Ukrainians need expensive yachts?"
He posted this on his account in X (formerly Twitter).
"I'm most interested in why Ukraine has expensive cars or expensive yachts" Buczek wrote.
Pavlo Kravchuk, an activist of NGO “Europe without Barriers”, wrote on his Facebook page that the blockers from the Confederation party said that the boat was stopped and sent to the end of the line because it was an "expensive yacht" that was registered as humanitarian aid.
At the same time, Kravchuk received a response from SAFE Boats, whose logo is visible on the photo of the truck with the boat.
"SAFE Boats International has provided a 27-foot “Walk Around Cabin” patrol boat for Ukraine. This is a part of the US government's assistance program. The vessels provided by SAFE Boats are intended to be used as government patrol vessels and are not intended to be used as private yachts," the statement said.
The activist assumes that under the cover in the photo is one of these boats that were handed over to the Armed Forces.
"The confederation not only causes huge losses to Ukraine's economy and delays vital supplies indirectly, but also directly blocks military cargo," Kravchuk noted.
As a recap, Ukrainian truck drivers, that got stuck on the border with Poland, started a hunger strike and announced their demands to the authorities of the neighboring country.
