Ukraine wants to change the Mobilization law: what Verkhovna Rada is preparing

The Verkhovna Rada is preparing changes to the law on mobilization and military service, which will be reviewed in the nearest future.

This was said by the Deputy Head of the Parliamentary Committee of Social Policy and Veterans' Rights Protection Mykhailo Tsymbaliuk during a nationwide TV marathon.

According to him, the parliamentarians are having discussions with the highest military leadership of the country, because new soldiers are needed for rotation.

The working group is preparing several draft laws that are expected to be reviewed in the near future.

List of the main changes:

- new additional leave with retention of financial support for 90 calendar days for service members released from captivity (including the standardization of documents a military officer or enlisted person must have while undergoing a military medical commission or treatment after being wounded; reducing bureaucracy);

-the right to dismiss non-citizens or foreigners from the military;

- the right for dismissal for citizens with group I-II of disability;

- the right to dismiss or demobilize female cadets who terminated their contracts.

The new bill should regulate the right to postpone mobilization of teachers, university professors and students.

It is a tenth year of a brutal war with Russia, which attacked us. Since February 2022 a full-scale war has been going on. The process of summons delivery is not an automatic ticket to the war, but first of all the actualization of the data of Ukrainian citizens. Yes, the summons may be followed by a call-up of a person for military service. This is a normal process in a country in war. We should not forget that it is the obligation of every Ukrainian to defend his country. If today you run away from war, tomorrow it may come to you.

Earlier we wrote whether it is possible to mobilize a person with bad vision.
