"We are close to the conviction that our actions can bring results, both in the negotiations in Kyiv and in Brussels. I don't think we will reach the maximum that truckers want, but it seems that what can be achieved will allow us to calm down emotions and lift the blockade on the border," Donald Tusk said at a press conference.
The Polish Prime Minister said that he would do everything possible to ease the life and fate of Polish truck drivers. The current rules of permits for Ukrainian drivers will be valid until June 2024, it is unlikely that they will be changed before then.
Tusk also added that he will discuss the issue of carriers border blocking with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during his upcoming visit to Kyiv.
