Footage of the village of Moschun, Kyiv Region, where fierce battles took place with the Russian occupiers, has emerged online.
Photos from the village were shown on the Telegram channel "Region No. 1".
The post reads as follows:
"Moshchun is a place of great courage, a great feat of our people. Two years ago, Ukrainian soldiers liberated this small village in the Kyiv Region from the Russian occupiers."
It was in this village that fierce battles with the enemy took place when a rush of invaders tried to break through to Kyiv.
"But our Ukrainians did not allow this to happen, they heroically defended Moshchun, thus protecting the capital," the statement added.
It is worth recalling that one of the most important battles during the defense of Kyiv in March 2022 took place here. Moshchun became one of the outposts that stopped the Russian occupation forces on the outskirts of Kyiv. "To see Moshchun and die!" - that's how the Ministry of Defense wrote at the time.
In total, 2,000 houses out of 2,800 were destroyed during heavy fighting in the village of Moshchun.
