Meteorologists predict an abnormal April - we'll have to revise the norms

According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, the average monthly temperature in April is expected to range from 8-13 °C, 6-7 °C in the Carpathians, and 2-6 °C in the mountain regions. This is on average 5 °C higher than in March, which was recognized as abnormally warm.

This is stated in the material of Apostrophe.

"The average monthly air temperature in most regions of Ukraine will exceed the April norm by 1-1.5 °C. In general, it is an amazing situation. Climate norms are set for thirty years: 1960-1991, 1991-2020. New criteria have been set since 2021, but we are now seeing constant excesses of these norms. Every month the weather becomes more and more abnormal. Apparently, we need to adjust these temperature norms." Natalia Ptukha, meteorologist and Head of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, tells Apostrophe.

Earlier, Apostrophe reported that dust from the Sahara covered Ukraine.
