Lithuania will help to overcome the consequences of the destroyed Trypillia TPP by transferring parts of equipment from Vilnius CHPP, Ignalina NPP and warehouses of energy companies, as well as a powerful transformer.
This was announced by the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Lithuania, Dainius Kreivys, lrt.lt quoted.
It is noted that Lithuania will transfer equipment for the restoration of energy infrastructure from Vilnius CHPP, as well as part of the equipment from Ignalina NPP and warehouses of energy companies. According to Kreivys, some devices will be disassembled, while others can be adapted directly.
They also promise to send a 30-kilowatt transformer to Ukraine.
"We will give them everything they need. 80 % of the entire network in Kharkiv has been destroyed - both heat and electricity. If we don't help, Ukrainians will not be able to restore the grid by winter, it will be very, very difficult," said Dainius Kreivys.
It is worth noting that the Vilnius CHPP has been out of operation since 2016, and the equipment is undergoing preventive maintenance: "Preventive maintenance and testing of the equipment is carried out according to the planned schedules. Lithuania intends to transfer them to Ukraine."
