The delivery of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine, which are so necessary for the fight against the Russian occupiers, has been postponed again - they will be in the country for months, not a month, as previously announced.
This was written by Joerg Lau, a journalist for the German newspaper Die Zeit, on the X network.
First, on Monday, May 13, the journalist published a post stating that, according to Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, the F-16s would be in Ukraine within a month.
"F-16s from Denmark will take to the air over Ukraine within a month," he was quoted as saying.
Today, he deleted the first post and wrote a clarification. As it turned out, the Prime Minister meant months, not a month, as previously stated. The journalist apologised for the inaccurate information.
"Correction: Danish PM meant to anounce F-16 in UKR within MONTHS (not month), a source just clarified. Apologies. I will delete original tweet." he wrote.
Earlier, Apostrophe reported that Ukrainian pilots will be ready to fly F-16s in combat by this summer.
