Russia is fighting for every house in Vovchansk, destroying the city with artillery and aircraft. The enemy is bringing in brigades from Kherson Region, waiting for reinforcements from reserves and Akhmat special forces unit.

Dmytro Kozhubenko, the officer of the planning section of the Rubizh brigade, told Apostrophe TV about the current situation in Vovchansk, the enemy's meat assaults and the involvement of Russian reserves.

He emphasized that the enemy is fighting for every building in Vovchansk and is waiting for the arrival of reserve forces: "Our task is to prevent them from gaining a foothold and getting reinforcements."

Kozhubenko notes that the Russians are also expecting reinforcements from Akhmat, "which is positioned as a unit specialized in street fighting." Instead, he notes that so far, "we have not met Kadyrov's men yet."

Russia is not only actively using artillery and aviation to carry out attacks, waiting for reinforcements from Akhmat, but units from Russia and Kherson Region are also entering the area.

"Armored vehicles are being used, but there are not many high-tech models at the moment - it's mostly old equipment. The Russians are fighting mostly with "meat," notes an officer of the Rubizh brigade.

Earlier, Apostrophe wrote that Russia started recruiting female inmates to participate in the war in Ukraine.
