Germany searches for 9-year-old Ukrainian girl, who disappeared on her way to school, for more than a week

The German city of Debeln has been searching for a 9-year-old Ukrainian girl, who disappeared on her way to school, for more than a week.

It is reported that Valeria disappeared on June 3, her disappearance was discovered when she did not return from school. Which, in fact, she never got to. According to the police, the school did not inform her mother that the girl did not show up at the school, despite the fact that this is a common practice. Video recordings from the buses show that the child did not even enter the bus. Valeriya's mother first looked for the child herself and then informed the police.

Large-scale search operation was organized with the participation of divers, special dogs, a drone, a helicopter and hundreds of police officers. However, they have not yet been successful.

The police have not ruled out the possibility that the child has been abducted, or that the child has gone into hiding or had been involved in an accident.

The girl is from the Dnipropetrovs'k Region. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, she and her family moved to Germany. Valeria's father is a soldier in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Since his daughter's disappearance, he has been granted a leave of absence and is currently trying to obtain the necessary documents to travel to Germany.
