Ukraine returned 90 soldiers from Russian captivity

On June 25, 2024, Ukraine returned 90 Ukrainian servicemen from Russian captivity: soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Navy, the National Guard, the Territorial Defense Forces, and Border Guard Service.

This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

According to him, this was done through an exchange.

"We remember all our people in Russian captivity. We continue our work for the release of everyone. We seek the truth about everyone who may be held by the enemy," Zelenskyy emphasized.

The Head of State thanked the team of Ukraine working for the liberation of Ukrainians: Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak, Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Maliuk, Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko and Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets.

In addition, Zelenskyy noted the assistance of the United Arab Emirates in making this exchange possible.
