A Ukrainian Navy cap was placed in Hanul's coffin

At the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ, the OCU in Odessa said goodbye to the murdered activist Demyan Hanul.

This is reported by hromadske.

More than one and a half hundred people came to the farewell ceremony, including military personnel, activists, relatives, and townspeople.

Many people came with national flags and a red-and-black banner, which they wrapped around themselves. A cap of the Ukrainian Navy, whose serviceman the activist was, was also placed in Hanul's coffin.

"Several shots were fired into the head of each of us who dares to call the "Russian world" evil. To every Ukrainian who wants to be free in his land," the priest said during his speech.

At the same time, the deceased's wife, Zhanna Vozniuk, thanked everyone who shares her pain and called the activist's death not only her own loss, but also the loss of "Odessa and all of Ukraine" and "the triumph of evil."

"Demyan, I thank you for Sarah (the daughter of the activist and Zhanna Vozniuk, — "Apostrophe".). This is a piece of you that has remained here, with me. In her smile I see you. She doesn't know what her dad was like yet. But I will tell you everything. You were the best dad, even though you didn't have long," the wife emphasized.

As a reminder, activist Demyan Hanul, who was killed in Odessa on March 14, turned out to be a serviceman of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was part of a special forces unit, and therefore did not advertise this.
