Pavel Kazarin: We have a winner for the role of the anti-hero of the era. And it's not a Russian dictator

Journalist and military officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Pavlo Kazarin believes that the anti-hero of the modern era is not Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, but American President Donald Trump.

Kazarin wrote about this on his Facebook page.

"His victory became the main crash test for values. The crutches were taken away from the rules that we considered the norm - and now the world is watching how vandal-resistant the structure is. In fact, it is about what kind of house democracies have managed to build in recent decades: straw, wood or stone," the journalist noted.

Kazarin believes that all of Trump's rhetoric is built on the fact that he has more rights to power than his predecessor.

" The American experience was a role model — to now become its opposite. It's like discovering that proper nutrition, the gym, and immunity are a direct path to a hospital bed. It turned out that the constitution, federalism, and decades of tradition do not guarantee protection from man-made chaos if its author is sufficiently self-confident, persistent, and deaf," the military man is convinced.

Kazarin believes that the Trump phenomenon poses a whole list of unanswered questions to the world: does reputation matter, does ethics exist, and is there a difference between a victim and an aggressor.

" This experiment is very interesting to watch from the sidelines. The problem is that our country is deprived of this option," the journalist summarized.
