"Suspilne Zaporizhzhia" showed video of the aftermath of a morning Russian strike on a multi-storey building in one of Zaporizhzhia's residential districts. The building was heavily damaged.

On the air of Apostrophe TV, Askad Ashurbekov, MP of Zaporizhzhia Regional Council, said that it was one of the most massive missile attacks:

"We are currently dealing with one of the most massive missile attacks by the occupants after the attacks in the fall and winter of 2022. Today, 12 missile strikes have hit Zaporizhzhia and the region, 7 houses were destroyed, 35 houses were damaged."

He points out that NPC "Ukrenergo" and the management of DniproHES are currently analyzing the situation and studying energy issues: "... to what extent the plant can produce electricity, how critical are the damages."

Ashurbekov adds that there have been no breakthroughs in the dam so far, "...and, accordingly, there is no reason to say that the dam does not hold water at the Dnipro." He also adds that there is no danger to the citizens in this regard: "As for everything else, the fire continues to be extinguished. As soon as the problem is localized, we will draw conclusions."

Zaporizhzhia Regional Council MP points out that it is very difficult to completely destroy the dam, adding that traffic on the dam will be resumed in the coming days:

"It is important to understand that it is very difficult to completely destroy the dam. To do this, you need to hit it with missiles for weeks. I think that in the coming days, the traffic on the dam will be resumed."

Earlier, we told you how critical the damage at DniproHES was.
