Turkey detained two Russian journalists: details

On December 3, Russian journalists from the local TV channel NTV were detained in Turkey, as was announced on the official NTV Telegram channel.

The reporter Oleksii Petrushko and his cameraman Ivan Malyshkin were detained in the outskirts of Stambul. Petrushko sent a message to the NTV office, saying, "For some reason, we are still being held." After that, the journalists couldn't be reached.

According to the NTV Telegram-channel, the journalists did not have the accreditation for filming on the territory of Turkey, and therefore they were arrested. However, it is also known that all over the world Russian journalists are spreading misinformation regarding the presidential election in the U.S., as well as disseminating myths regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.
