Britain reported 30 cases of blood clots after the vaccination with AstraZeneca

British Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency reported 30 cases of thrombosis after the vaccination with the AstraZeneca vaccine.

The corresponding statement was published on the website of the government of the UK.

Up to and including 24 March, we had received 22 reports of cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST) and 8 reports of other thrombosis events with low platelets, out of a total of 18.1 million doses of COVID-19 Vaccine AstraZeneca given by that date. There were no reports for the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine,” the statement reads.

According to the agency, the rigorous review into the UK reports of rare and specific types of blood clots is ongoing. On the basis of this ongoing review, the benefits of the vaccines against COVID-19 continue to outweigh any risks.

And you should continue to get your vaccine when invited to do so,” the regulatory agency stated.
