US responds to Putin's latest nuclear threats

The White House doesn't see any reason to adjust its nuclear posture and sees no signs that Russia is preparing to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine.

This was reported by White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.

"We don't see any real reason to adjust our own nuclear posture," she said.

According to Jean-Pierre, there are currently no signs that Russia is preparing to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine.

She also confirmed that President Biden is aware of Putin's latest "nuclear" statements.

"Russia's nuclear rhetoric has been reckless and irresponsible throughout the conflict. It was Russia that brutally invaded Ukraine unprovoked and unjustified, and the United States will continue to support Ukraine as it defends its people and its sovereign territory from Russian aggression," the spokeswoman said.
